DOUBLE SHOULDER DESIGN
A double-shoulder thread connection delivers substantially higher torque capacity than standard API designs because it engages two load-bearing shoulders instead of one, creating a stiffer, more stable torsional path. By distributing torque across both the primary and secondary shoulders, the connection reduces thread shear, limits deformation, and maintains structural integrity under heavy cyclic loading—conditions where API threads begin to lose stiffness. This dual-shoulder geometry also improves make-up stability.
SAME THREAD FORM, MORE TORQUE CAPACITY
By adding a reinforced secondary shoulder, TSDS™ delivers stronger torque handling, better load transfer, and reduced thread wear—all while staying fully compatible with existing API thread connections. Operators get more torque with the same turns and threads per inch they expect from standard API designs—elevating performance while staying fully interchangeable with existing API connections.
